- Generous annual leave
We strive to achieve a happy and healthy work-life balance for all our staff with our annual leave entitlement. For full-time employees, annual leave entitlement is 29 days per annum plus bank holidays. After five years’ continuous service, your entitlement will increase to 32 days per annum. Part-time staff will receive a pro rata amount of leave dependent upon the hours they work.
- Employee discounts
Our discounts portal gives you online access to over 3,000 discounts and offers on everyday goods and services. You can find instant vouchers, shopping cards and popular deals on top brands like Adidas, Apple and John Lewis.
- The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
EAP is an independent, free, personal support service. It is available to all NSPCC employees, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to make both your work and home life easier. You’ll have access to things such as telephone counselling; online cognitive behavioural therapy; specialist legal, consumer and debt advice; and more.
We know how important planning for the future is. Building up a good pension is something we want to help you achieve with our flexible, tax-efficient pension schemes. Contributions are taken automatically, and you can take your plan with you if you leave the NSPCC.
- Life assurance scheme
This scheme can provide your loved ones with future financial security should something happen to you. All employees will be given life assurance of one times their salary, unless they join the NSPCC Group Personal Pension Scheme, where members are given life assurance of five times their salary.
- Staff volunteering opportunities
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the NSPCC, and we’re committed to encouraging rewarding volunteering experiences. All NSPCC employees are entitled to allocate up to four working days per year, or half an hour each week, to volunteer for the NSPCC.

For more than 130 years we’ve put children first. We believe in children, we want what’s best for them, and we make sure we fight for every childhood.
We are courageous in standing up for what is right.
We speak out when something’s wrong. We campaign, change laws when necessary, lead public debate and we’re on the frontline, supporting those who work with children.
We achieve more for children when we work together.
We can’t prevent cruelty to children on our own. Luckily, we don’t have to. Our passion inspires others, and our desire to listen, learn and improve means we’re always working with inspirational people, organisations and children.
We always strive to be the best so we can give every child a life free from abuse.
We’re constantly learning, developing, and measuring what’s effective. We share our knowledge with others so we can all work to protect children.
We base our actions on evidence and impact
Our work won’t end until we’ve changed attitudes and transformed services for children to protect every child and prevent abuse. We’re brave in our actions and are prepared to be unpopular when necessary and sometimes for society to face uncomfortable truths when things get in the way of achieving our goal.
